Franciscan Communities, St. Joseph Village of Chicago is a faith based senior living community located in the Northwest side of Chicago. Our community provides a full continuum of care and services in a warm and friendly environment including: assisted living, memory support, rehabilitation and skilled nursing.
We seek an experienced Infection Preventionist to develop and implement ongoing infection prevention and control program for St. Joseph Village of Chicago. This includes
Responsibilities Include:
- Establish community-wide systems for the prevention, identification, reporting, investigation and control of infections and communicable diseases of residents, staff and visitors.
- Develop and implement written policies and procedures
- Oversee community’s antibiotic stewardship program
- Oversee resident care activities that increase risk of infection
- Lead community’s infection and prevention control committee
- Participate on the community’s QAA Committee
Qualified Candidates must possess the following:
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/RN program
- Must meet state requirements for relevant licensure
- Education, training, experience or certification in infection control and prevention
- Three years of experience as an LPN/RN
- Eligible to participate in federally funded health care programs
