FQP&P, LLC is Hiring a Mechanical/Reliability Engineer (FQP&P) Near Anderson, SC
Purpose and role of job: Provide mechanical engineering support for equipment upgrades and repairs. Specifies, designs, and implements modifications to production equipment and associated machinery. Responsible for maintenance engineering and supporting continual improvement of equipment/process reliability and integrity. Provides training and assists Maintenance Technicians in solving complex problems. Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: Observes OSHA and company safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. Leads/supports internal project and process engineers, maintenance & production personnel, OEMs, vendors, and contractors to design, install, and startup new equipment. May supervise, assign work, provide performance monitoring and reviews, and provide daily priority setting for maintenance technicians. Performs high level troubleshooting, in-depth critical thinking, and utilizes all internal & external resources to solve any mechanical or process problem.Leads & assists others in troubleshooting machinery, equipment, and components. Assists production, maintenance, and engineers to meet daily priorities, coverage, and special projects.Will lead several of these projects. Leads mechanical support during machine installations and upgrades.This includes interfacing auxiliary equipment, identifying and correcting conflicts and/or design oversights. Expected to keep abreast of all of the new technologies, industry trends, health and safety regulations and standards that affect current operations. Proactively identifies opportunities to increase production operation performance, then initiates and oversees projects through completion. Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and coordinates the training of new personnel. Assists in project planning and forecasting as part of budgeting process. Organize equipment documentation from OEMs, FQP&P produced documents and troubleshooting guides. Develop Safety Procedures for installed machines – Lock-Out /Tag-Out for operations and maintenance personnel. Will be involved with installations, retrofits, PMs, and troubleshooting process equipment. Contribute to the maintenance reliability program and train maintenance technicians on precision maintenance practices. Perform root Cause analysis and develop procedures and recommendations for permanent elimination of problems. Support resolution of identified corrective and preventative actions associated with equipment failures and design challenges. Partner with plant management, engineers, and production/maintenance supervisors to coordinate overall equipment maintenance, including reliability, preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and scheduling to maximize performance and up-time. Compliment the current teams working on action items to improve maintenance processes Education and experience requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. Minimum of 5 years industrial experience.Knowledge of extrusion process, web handling, and printing a plus Personal computer skills including AutoCAD 2-D drafting and Inventor or SolidWorks 3-D software, basic e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet applications, and project management software.
