The new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale is looking for a talented Housekeeping Manager to partner with and report to our Director of Housekeeping, to lead the Housekeeping department. ABOUT US This new property, which is anticipated to open December 2021, is part of a shared services collection that has common ownership and encompasses the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, Four Seasons Hotel & Residences at The Surf Club, and the Four Seasons Hotel Miami. While this position is not a shared services role, the ability to embrace and collaborate, while aligning efficiencies with all four hotels is essential. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR A manager who partners with the Housekeeping leadership team to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards. This role manages a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel, including interviews, training, scheduling, and performance management. In addition, we are seeking the following qualifications: Engaging interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving ability Strong supervisory and managerial skills are essential, with outstanding demonstrated coaching and development skills Must be able to work flexible shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays Proficient in Hotel property management systems, in particular Opera Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, and thorough follow through Must be fluent in reading, writing and spoken English language skills Spanish speaking preferred, but not required Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs. One year of related or equivalent experience is required Requires a working knowledge of the housekeeping aspect of services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel This hotel will have a residential component. Prior experience in a mixed-use residential hotel is beneficial, though not required.
