The Four Seasons Resort Nevis is looking for suitable qualified applicants to fill the position of Director of Food & Beverage. The successful candidate will report to the Resort Manager. ROLE: The Director of Food and Beverage is a key member of the Resort’s Planning Committee and is responsible for making key strategic and operational decisions for the Resort. The Director of Food & Beverage manages the Food & Beverage Operation which includes all restaurants, bars & lounges, banqueting, in Room Dining, private villas, and private bars. The primary responsibilities for this position are to ensure our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service, manage and develop a team, create and monitor an annual budget, manage labour and food costs, operating expenses and develop relationships with key suppliers and industry associates. We are looking for an individual who has a solid knowledge of food & beverage, has creativity and flair, and are able to evidence good business acumen, a strong work ethic and people-management skills. Must be well versed on international food trends, and concepts and be able to bring these to life through exceptional service and quality. Experience in international cuisines is ideal as is a second language. Applicants are required to have a minimum of five to seven years experience in the same capacity within the luxury hotel/resort market, preferably for a global luxury brand. A college degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management, culinary, or business administration, or equivalent experience is required. Some travel is required for training, conferences and special events.
