Provide assistance and support to both internal and external customers through the performance of a variety of warehouse and delivery duties. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

IN THIS ROLE

• Load and unload box trucks
• Secure loads using straps, poles, or ropes
• Verify pickups and drop offs with the provided tablet or paperwork
• Drive company trucks in heavy traffic
• Responsible for keeping company vehicles neat and tidy
• Perform vehicle safety checks and fill out Driver’s Vehicle Condition reports as required
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Available to work overtime as needed and work Weekends/Holidays
• Attend safety meetings

• Other duties as assigned by Management

THE IDEAL PERSON

• Must have 2 years commercial driving experience
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Minimum of one year equipment operation experience is required (i.e., forklift, order picker)
• Ability to move heavy product weighing up to 150 lbs. without the need of assistance and up to 250 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly or other equipment
• Must be able to constantly work in an open/outdoor warehouse environment
• Must be able to frequently position self to maintain/move product throughout the facility and be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Have the capacity to grow and be adaptable
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Have the ability to read and write the English language
• Able to read maps, road signs and shipping receipts
• Experience in the furniture/freight industry
• Must pass the Company’s MVR policy
• Exceptional communication skills
• Time management and multi-tasking skills that enable you to work in a time pressured environment
