Four Hands is Hiring a .NET Developer Near Austin, TX

Four Hands, a leader in lifestyle home furnishings, is looking to hire a .NET Developer in our Austin, TX, headquarters. This inventive self-starter will lead our development efforts in our warehouse management system and other enterprise applications. This individual will lead the effort to develop new feature sets and improve the effectiveness of our applications.

This role can “scale up” responsibilities depending on the candidate’s experience and expertise.

IN THIS ROLE

  • Work closely with business to identify and implement improvements to our systems
  • Support integration of data to and from the warehouse management system
  • Write, test, and debug software applications in .NET
  • Develop database objects and structures for data storage, retrieval and reporting
  • Recommend application changes, document software specifications and train users
  • Collaborate with the architect to implement design patterns and architecture
  • Be an active team member working both independently and collaboratively with the group
  • Stay current on software development trends, technologies and toolset
  • Build a deep knowledge and understanding of all business processes and procedure
  • Maintain the team’s strong relationship with our internal user base
  • Uphold our Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team
  • Other tasks as defined by Management

THE IDEAL PERSON

  • 3 years of .NET development experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, requirements gathering, user stories, solution design, and working alongside other developers and architects
  • Experience using SQL to write queries and stored procedures (MS SQL Server or other RDBMS)Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio (VS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
  • Capable of analyzing requirements and develop software as per project defined software process
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to create clear and effective business and systems process documentation
  • Great attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Able to work independently and be flexible on projects in a fast paced environment
  • Able to manage multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines, producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude

PREFERRERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with warehouse management, logistics, sales order processing, inventory or related enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with EDI terms, documents, processes
  • Experience with PowerBI or other analytical toolsets
  • Experience using Git for source control
  • Experience building and consuming APIs (RESTful or other)
  • Experience with automated build and deployment processes, pre-compilation tools, etc. (DevOps)
  • Azure Application management/concepts experience a plus
  • Familiarity with JIRA software, and NetSuite (or other ERP) a plus
