We’re looking for a dedicated and talented School Secretary to become part of our team. 

Your schedule will be Monday - Friday, from the hours of 7:30 am- 4:15 pm.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Competencies and Responsibilites

Clear and Effective Communicator

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all inquiries including managing phone calls, messages, and in-person visitors. 
  • Answers telephones and follows through on the relay of pertinent information. 
  • Communicates important information to staff members and families.
  • Create flyers, perform early dismissals, collaborate with staff regarding attendance, policies etc. 

Time-Management and Multitasking

  • Manages the package and mail pick up and delivery system including the sorting and distribution of all school mail. 
  • Maintains all student files/records in a secure manner.
  • Distributes tardy slips as needed to students at the beginning of the school day.
  • Coordinates parent requests for student early dismissals
  • Coordinates, reviews and updates student attendance records on a daily basis. 
  • Keeps inventory and maintains supplies of office materials. 
  • Schedules the Principal’s time consistent with identified school priorities; Discusses overlaps or scheduling issues with him/her during weekly meetings. Collects, organizes and provides the Principal with materials consistent with his/her scheduled work;
  • Creates requisitions and completes the ordering process for Principals and/or staff members.

Flexibility and Adaptability

  • Types a variety of materials of varying length and complexity of both a confidential and general nature. 
  • Operates a variety of office machines. 
  • Helps host on-campus school events, including Back to School Night, Parent Teacher Conferences, etc.
  • Maintains and updates, as necessary, the Student Information System (Alma). 
  • Supports Operations Team with new student enrollment

Perform Other Responsibilities

Do whatever else is necessary or requested to prepare our students for college and to instill in them our core values of caring, respect, responsibility, and honesty.

Qualifications

In order to be considered for the position of School Secretary at Foundation Academies, candidates must:

  • exercise excellent judgment and unquestionable integrity and confidentiality; 
  • pass the required criminal history background check and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status
