Position: Customer Operations Coordinator

Job Description:

Forward Air TLS is looking for a solutions-oriented Customer Operations Coordinator. Operations Coordinators are the face of Forward Air to our customers operations teams and are focused on providing best in class customer service to a portfolio of accounts, helping customers move their inventory efficiently and effectively. Operations Coordinators build upon existing relationships with customers through constant communication with customer contacts as well as our customers vendors. Communication with customers include, but are not limited to, discussions on market trends and negotiating of rates based on the market, how Forward Air TLS can add value to their transportation network and identifying and resolving issues.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with customer contacts and vendors
  • Manage daily shipments from start to finish, ensuring our customers’ expectations are met
  • Identify, communicate, and provide potential solutions to customers and vendors
  • Work cross functionally to support our customers and carriers
  • Prioritize and multitask to ensure internal and external requests are handled promptly, professionally, and effectively
  • Continuous improvement initiatives to better our customer and carrier operations
  • Establish and follow department and customers SOP’s
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not necessary
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be flexible to work weekends as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Skills:

  • Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, transactional environment
  • Have strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
  • Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, often in ambiguous situations
