Forward Slope is seeking a smart, experienced Network Security Engineer with broad knowledge of enterprise networking solutions, including troubleshooting and development of advanced routing technologies and services. You will work as part of a small collaborative team in a development lab in San Diego, California, supporting the replacement of a large legacy network with a modernized network overseas. This position will require up to 25% to OCONUS locations in support of integration and testing activities.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in a network security engineering sandbox, developing and integrating various security tools
• Design and implementation of complex solutions
• Investigate and recommend security products with a focus on integration of management and monitoring platforms

Required Qualifications:

• Active CCNP, CCNP Security, or CCIE
• Bachelor's Degree
• Five years of Network Security experience in the following areas:
  • Experience with OSPF, DMVPN, SDWAN
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security Tools like Splunk, Vectra Networks, Security Onion
  • Experience with Cisco ISE deployment
  • Must be able to diagnose and resolve network hardware and software problems associated with the data center infrastructure
• Experience with documenting Network Designs
• Ability to create documents for use in training operations personnel

Desired Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of IPSEC and 802.1X
• Familiarity with Virtualization platforms involving Network Function Virtualization and VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V

Other Requirements:

• Must have a current and active Secret security clearance

*Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
