Forward Slope, Inc. is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to design and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD). Day-to-day efforts include working with highly-talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.

This is a full-time position under our Mission Solutions portfolio.
The position requires that the candidate be able to occasionally commute to San Diego, CA.

Required qualifications:

• Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain one
• Demonstrated DevOps experience with:
  • Containerization (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (i.e., Ansible, Vagrant, Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • CI/CD automation tools (i.e., GitLab, Jenkins, AWS Code Build, Azure Pipelines)
  • Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL, CentOS)
• CompTIA Security Certification (or be able to obtain one within 30 days)

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Cloud computing infrastructure development (i.e., AWS, Microsoft Azure)
  • Full-stack software development (i.e., Java, .NET, JavaScript, SQL)
  • Utilizing Atlassian suite (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
