Responsibilities
How you will contribute:
Managing all aspects of engagements, including reviewing work of other professionals, working directly with clients, identifying tax technical issues, and developing solutions
Conducting tax research, develop, and document tax positions
Assisting with preparing international components of the US Federal tax return including the Forms 5471, 5472 and 1118, including performing detail reviews of forms and underlying work papers
Monitoring and assessing U.S. GAAP and IFRS tax accounting developments
Keep informed of current tax developments and effectively apply tax knowledge/research to a specific client’s situations
Advising clients and be responsible for delivering high-quality tax service and advice
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience. Industries may include but are not limited to manufacturing and distribution, retail, or hospitality, among others.
Assisting in developing new accounting method changes, including templates, memos, and distribution systems
Assisting in the research and writing of internal and external accounting methods Knowledge Share
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
Growth-motivated in the development of internal and external client relationships, identification of client issues and development of new services
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels
Experience in the following areas: IRC §263A/UNICAP, LIFO, LCM, overall methods of accounting, capitalization, depreciation and amortization, revenue recognition, and timing of deductions under IRC §461 and other Internal Revenue Code sections
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in accounting or another related field
5 years or more of experience in tax accounting, preferably with a Big Four or Regional Firm
Knowledge of tax within C-corporations, consolidated groups, and Corporate flowthroughs
