Fort Worth Carrier Corporation is Hiring a Diesel Mechanic Near Fort Worth, TX
Great opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic in Fort Worth, Tx!
FW Carrier is a dedicated carrier servicing Dillard’s private fleet since 1980. Our maintenance shop in Fort Worth is actively seeking a motivated fleet mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience working on Class 8 diesel tractors and dry van pup trailers. Our fleet consists of Cummins powered T680 Kenworth trucks and various makes of pup trailers.
Day shift, Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Job Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose all fleet maintenance issues
- Repair all types of fleet-owned equipment (tractors, trailers, dollies, service vehicles)
- FMCSA inspections
- Experience with aftertreatment systems
- Enter electronic work orders and charge out parts
- Shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
- Follow policy and procedures in making all repairs
- Experience with OEM software for electronic diagnosis
- Bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance service
- Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- The ability to identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of testing equipment including electronic testing equipment
- ABS service including diagnostics
- Air conditioning system repairs
- Experience with late model equipment
- Emissions experience
- CDL preferred or obtain later with our assistance
- Must have your own tools
- Self-motivated
- Work well with others
- Good driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
