Fors Marsh is seeking full-time, contract-to-hire Senior Accountant to join our team. This individual should be self-motivated and detail oriented. This role is best suited for an individual who possesses excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is an effective communicator. The individual will primarily work remotely but will have some in-office duties on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including reconciliation of clearing accounts.

• Run daily cash reports to record transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

• Review and approve accounts payables invoice entries, process payments and track invoice status.

• In charge of payroll journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.

• Organize and maintain all vendor and accounting records.

• Responsible for annual 1099 form preparation.

• Handle vendor inquiries and payment remittances.

• Work closely with financial analysts and project teams to ensure that project charges are recorded properly to prepare AR reports.

• Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in accounting required; experience working for a government contractor or professional services firm is preferred.

• Deltek Costpoint experience required.

• Expertise in GAAP and knowledge of FAR, CAS.

• Skilled in MS Excel.

• Highly detail-oriented and analytical.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.

• Ability to occasionally work in our Arlington, VA office. Hybrid work schedule.

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
