ForgeRock is Hiring a Remote Senior Technical Program Manager

The Role: 

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be working in partnership with engineering and product teams to drive the technical future of ForgeRock’s platform, products, and infrastructure. You will lead cross-functional initiatives and compliance programs, including FedRAMP and be responsible for initiatives with a high degree of complexity, contributing to the overall execution across ForgeRock’s strategic roadmap.

As a member of the technical program team, you are highly collaborative, excellent at guiding complex, technical conversations and navigating trade-offs across multiple teams, priorities, and products. You will use your experience to identify gaps, institute best practices, and improve overall operational excellence within the team and across the organization. 

The ideal candidate will have experience leading or driving FedRAMP compliance programs to successful completion and be familiar with NIST standards and guidelines. They should bring their security and project management experience along with excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills. They show technical understanding and have proven execution excellence related to major cloud (GCP) infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive compliance programs, including FedRAMP
  • Align teams to efficiently deliver on shared goals.
  • Coordinating and direct teams and resources in a matrix environment
  • Collaborate with engineering and stakeholders to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross-functional execution of program deliverables.
  • Drive process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Working knowledge of cloud auditing and controls, including FedRAMP
  • Experience in cloud technologies, architecture analysis and/or Information Security
  • Skilled in providing deep technical oversight, developing new processes, and leading improvements on complex parts of our product and operational practices
  • 10 years of software engineering, systems engineering, and/or technical product/program management experience.
  • Fluent in operational, compliance or engineering program management.
  • 4 years working with Google Cloud Platform products
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through cross-functional, virtual teams
  • You are not satisfied with just delivering a program on time—you are discerning about product/infrastructure architecture and obsessed with quality & reliability 
  • You have a track record of providing program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to ship, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams around the organization
  • You can drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions
  • Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale platforms, infrastructure, and organizations
  • Experience leading initiatives with a global footprint having built APIs, products, and complex systems/infrastructure at scale

Requirements

  • 10 years of engineering and Program Management experience
  • Experience coordinating and directing teams and resources in a matrix environment
  • Strong experience with software development process including both Agile and traditional project management and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to suit the project and business environment
  • Proficiency in creating and tracking complex development schedules, managing issues and tracking bugs using industry standard tools
  • Working knowledge of enterprise networking and security technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Experience interacting with both business and engineering individuals at all levels
  • Hands on experience collaborating with overseas teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and use influence to drive projects
  • Ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Excellent listening skills and able to bring together multiple perspectives
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
