Forest Home is Hiring an Utility Systems Supervisor Near Forest Falls, CA

This is a full-time position eligible for benefits

JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees proper maintenance and repair of water and other systems.

 Job Status: Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Water systems
    • Monitors and/or repairs all aspects of water systems both fresh and waste
    • Complies with all county and state regulatory requirements.
    • Responsible for water sampling and chlorination of springs.
    • Responds to after-hours calls relating to above responsibilities.
    • Utilizes CMMS for work order management, tracking and completion of all requests. 
    • Estimates material requirements and tools needed to perform job
    • Requires working outside in extreme hot or cold conditions
    • Assists in snow removal and other tasks as assigned including after normal work hours.
  • Other systems
    • Monitors and/or repairs all aspects of LP systems
    • Monitors and/or repairs all aspects of the secondary power systems
    • Manages the key program to include working with key/door systems, making keys and key sets for all camp centers.
    • Coordinates with Director pertaining System upgrades and repairs.
    • Coordinate and maintain positive working relationships with impacted partners to assure minimal down time.
  • Safety
    • Ensures facilities is in safe working condition and reports potential safety issues and recommends appropriate changes.
    • Ensures tools and maintenance equipment are in working order and keeps maintenance buildings clean and organized.
    • Operate different tools and equipment such as golf carts, company vehicles, heavy equipment, forklifts, etc. in a safe manner.
    • Complies with factory specifications in relationship to equipment and material, and assures that all materials are handled according to factory recommendations and training.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 - 5 years of related experience.
  • Skilled with Microsoft programs and must possess ability to learn to software such as a CMMS
  • Hold and maintain a Class B driving certification with a Hazardous material certification from the DMV in the State of California. (preferred)

  • Sufficient physical agility to work from ladders or on roof if necessary.
  • Assume responsibility for initiating a pleasant atmosphere by displaying a professional attitude through performance, appearance, and demeanor.
  • Maintains proper and professional appearance according to Forest Home guidelines.
  • Actively supports and participates in the staff spiritual life activities.
  • Regular, timely attendance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has supervisory responsibilities.
