Full Time: M-Th 6:30am-4:30pm w/some Fridays in St. Peters -- Primarily assisting with Moh's cases, excisions, wound checks and suture removals

Every other Monday at West County clinic alternating at St. Peters clinic
Tuesday - St. Peters
Wednesday - Webster Groves
Thursday - Webster Groves

Some Fridays at St. Peters 

In the fall, the schedule will change to Mohs travel between St. Peters and Webster Groves MO only

The MA/LPN/Surg Tech is essential during the patient visit, accompanying the dermatologist in the room and promoting a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.

Essential Functions:

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information
• Scribing information for the dermatologist
• Providing post op wound care to patients
• Drawing blood and suture removal
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as:
• Surgical photographs
• Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave
• Excisions
• Electrodessication and curettage
• I&D
• Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
• Phototherapy
• Injections
• Koh preps
• Trichograms
• Tzank preps
• Dermabrasion
• Patch testing
• Blue light

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Post High School education in a medical support field: Certified Medical Assistant, MA, Licensed Practical Nurse, CNA or Surgical Tech is strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
