JOB SUMMARY: The VP, Retail Operations is a legal and compliance resource for the front-line community bankers reporting deposit account related questions or issues. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review requests from front-line community banking representatives regarding trust accounts and agreements, power of attorney documents, estate accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), business entities including legal entities, and beneficial ownership, sole proprietorships, and minor accounts. 
  • Related to above, consult internal and/or external legal counsel, deposit compliance, risk, and/or BSA when necessary, in order to provide timely and accurate responses to front-line to deliver to clients/prospective clients.
  • Work with the bank’s core systems provider for authoring requests when routine updates are routinely released and when changes to the system are needed to improve account opening.
  • Responsible for deposit product management and will work with leadership and compliance to create and develop new deposit products as needed.
  • Ensure client documentation provided meets regulatory and legal requirements and is in accordance with our procedures.
  • Provide training to community banking group
  • Suggest process improvements related to forms and agreements and work with forms vendor, deposit compliance and IT to implement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 4 years working with retail bank deposit account documentation
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
