Our customer base is growing so our team is growing as well! We have an opening for a vCIO/Senior IT Consultant to provide high-level IT consulting to our customers. In this role, the successful hire will strategize with customers to create an IT roadmap and ensure their infrastructure is protected and up to date, while also providing network administration, field and remote technical support. This role is similar to an IT Director for a company, but as a consulting firm, we act in this capacity for our small to middle market customers.

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Serves as the main point of contact for all technical support services with clients 
• Provides strong knowledge of IT/IS technology in a production environment to clients
• Supports clients in all areas of IT support, as outlined in client contract
• Manages approximately 12-15 clients at a time, meeting with them consistently to build relationships, trust and help their management team with direction. This number may fluctuate, as needed
• Provides consistent support and maintains productive communication with clients, team members, and managers
• Assists in the maintenance of Windows servers, as well as all applications in use by clients
• Maintains all client network equipment, including servers, workstations, PDAs, routers, firewalls, switches, and printers 
• Provides remote service to clients, as applicable 
• Addresses the needs of clients in a timely manner 
• Monitors the ticketing system and ensures tickets are addressed in a timely fashion 
• Checks and completes tickets from the queue when in the office 
• Performs client audits and creates summary reports of findings
• Provides recommendations on programs, processes, and resources to improve efficiencies
• Documents hours daily, separating billable hours from non-billable hours, outlining as much detail as possible, and submitting timesheets on time 
• Provides weekend on-call duties within a rotating schedule, and available for weekend/evening work when required 
• Assists the Field Services Manager and other Senior IT consultants with scopes of work, as needed 
• On the clients’ behalf, communicates with a variety of vendors for issues and needs in terms of hardware, software and communications (ISPs), wireless networks, phone systems, PDAs, and desktop applications
• Works on miscellaneous IT projects, as assigned 
• All other duties, as assigned

Experience and Education: 

• 5 years of IT experience working with a Managed Services Provider
• AWS certification or experience preferred
• Experience with Windows server, Windows desktop experience, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Voice over IP, disaster recovery, and Active Directory 
• Completion of related-IT training, whether it be through a degree program or certification 
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university in a related field, preferred
