Human Resources Specialist

Role: Human Resources Specialist

Reports to: Human Resources Director

Compensation: TBD, based on experience

Location: Office is in Kaukauna

Summary: The Human Resources Specialist for Focus Property Management will ensure that all employment candidates will receive top-notch customer service. A detail-oriented and sociable producer, this key team member will ensure compliance with the FPM recruitment and screening process. Responsibilities will be introductory calls with applicants, managing candidate progression through hiring system, setting up interviews, assisting with and participating in recruiting activity as well as other administrative HR tasks.

What you have already achieved: (Requirements) 

  • Previous experience in Human Resources or an Administrative role is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of generally used software/computer packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office (including Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use critical thinking, problem solving and good judgment
  • Skilled at effectively managing time and multiple responsibilities

What you are great at: (Responsibilities) 

  • Manage employee applications in hiring system
  • Administer job board postings
  • Create interview guides for each applicant
  • Ongoing communication with all applicants
  • Manage applicant file folders ensuring that all info is available for review by hiring managers in a timely manner
  • Work with HR Director to analyze the effectiveness of all job postings and make changes to increase that effectiveness
  • Perform pre-screening phone calls on all applicants
  • Assist HR Director in administrative HR tasks
  • Register for and participate in career fairs with our Leadership Team
  • Walk, talk and live the Focus culture and recognize team members based on the culture
  • HRIS support - process password resets, team member transfers, I9 completion, etc.
  • Provide general HR support to all team members
