Overview

Responsible for coordinating activities involved in the procurement of goods and services required for production and operation, including administrative, research and project support to support company operations.

Responsibilities

Good understanding of purchasing activities and cost reduction. Basic understanding of how a manufacturing environment operates. Strong personal skills in: effective communication (written and oral), attention to accuracy of work, provides and takes feedback, solves problems without being told to, works well in own organization and with others, and is a constant learner.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of related experience in purchasing atmosphere.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business major or related discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.
• Working knowledge Microsoft office (excel, power point, word etc.), other PC applications, or mainframe applications. Sage experience is a plus.
