Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing accounting department. The AP Manager is a critical role in managing cash flow and ensuring adherence to our financial commitments. In this role, the AP Manager will maintain the accounts payable ledgers, rigorously manage the payment process, assist with tax compliance, track and report important supplier information and uphold the company’s policies and image with vendors, thereby contributing to our continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises the accounts payable department and staff in the organization.
• Manages the corporate expense program for the Company utilizing Concur Expense Management software.
• Ensures that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensures that the accounts payable and other financial obligations are met efficiently.
• Own detailed tracking of all expenditures and provide reports on same to senior management.
• Oversee all payment transactions including ACH, wires, paper checks.
• Responsible for invoicing, data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices like general overhead, subcontractor, and employee travel reimbursements.
• Keeps track of the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors.
• Standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company.
• Be active on the customer service front and be quick and accurate with communication.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 5 years of accounting experience, with knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with leadership roles and ability to display problem-solving capabilities.
• Basic computer skills and prior experience working with accounting software. Prior experience with Sage 100 a plus.
• Must have substantial ERP AP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors, and customers.
• Strong analytical and time management skills.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
