Overview

1st Shift 

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, align, dismantle and move equipment / production lines.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Perform equipment change-over and production line set ups.
• Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
• Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• Follows and ensures all H&S processes are followed daily.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain high standards for housekeeping and cleanliness of the maintenance shop.
• Participate in the implementation of various improvement projects.
• Trouble shoot and repair problems on machines and equipment.
• Works closely with the Maintenance Manager to complete preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Keeps updated records of work performed.
• Optimize equipment safety and reliability including the support of preventative maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to work weekends if required
• Previous experience in a similar role
• 5-10 years of experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance
• Ability to work professionally under pressure and meet deadlines
• Basic Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills is an asset
• Good Analytical and attention to detail skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proactive and self-motivation
• Ability to plan jobs and see all potential problem areas
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to multi-task
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to run conduit, pull wires and wire in electrical components
