ROLE OVERVIEW

The Manager, Safety is responsible for providing support to execute company safety policies and applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. The support provided will include training, implementing policies and guidelines, inspections, and observations that create a safety-conscious culture and ensure a safe working environment. The Manager, Safety will also drive process improvements through statistical analysis of injury data to identify and address the root cause of injuries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and execute Fashion Nova’s safety program, policies and procedures for all Fashion Nova owned and operated locations
• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to all required state and federal Occupation Safety and Health Administration (Cal-OSHA & OSHA) regulations
• Support the execution of injury prevention efforts that focus on unsafe behaviors and establishing safety culture mentality with all Fashion Nova employees
• Maintain compliance with all OSHA Record-keeping requirements
• Conduct regularly scheduled safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, training, and meetings
• Conduct injury investigations, identify root cause, and recommend corrective/preventative actions
• Lead the Safety Committee where observed hazards and injuries are discussed, solutions identified, and opportunities communicated
• Assist and ensure proper execution of programs such as Lock Out Tag Out, Emergency Action Plan, Bloodborne Pathogens, Hot Work, Powered Industrial Tool training, Heat Injury Illness Prevention, etcetera
• Work with cross-functional partners and vendors to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and defective equipment is addressed immediately
• Manage safety training programs and coordination.
• Provide direction and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on safety related topics, guidelines, and regulations
• Create a culture of safety excellence

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Five plus years of experience managing safety efforts in industrial and distribution center environments
• Proven history of successful programs that have impacted the experience module for the business
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30, and PIT Train the Trainer
• ARM and|or CSP 
• Must have excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual preferred – English|Spanish
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Analytical and interpretive skills

• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
