What We Do

We’re a marketing software company that serves small business owners, primarily financial advisors, and insurance agents. About 40,000 small businesses use our tools to build websites and send out our content. Generally, these businesses don’t have marketing departments but are growth-minded enough to know they need to market themselves. 

We help them do just that. We work together to create beautiful website designs, automated marketing tools, and award-winning educational content for them. The end goal is to help them build better relationships with their clients with less hands-on effort.

About the RoleFMG is seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing technology team in order to support and drive innovation on our proprietary machine learning content engine. The platform today leverages third party content as well as internal and industry data in order to offer innovative solutions to industry-leading partners within the financial services industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Product development through building, training and tuning of machine learning models, including enhancement of existing models, in order to create optimal outcomes for each use case.
• Research and analysis of new machine learning models and data, searching for trends and patterns and driving interpretation toward an objective.
• Collaboration with our product and content teams in order to ideate, develop and deliver multifaceted solutions around the data models.
• Care and feeding of our current machine learning models and our platform and its related product offerings as they deliver results for our existing users.

Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Expertise working with a cloud-based (AWS) platforms
• Expertise working with Python
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP)
• Strong problem solving skills with emphasis on product development.
• Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
• Proficiency with software-as-a-service products and platforms.
• Proficiency with NoSQL (Mongo) and relational (SQL) databases.
• Experience with content ingestion
• Contemporary data and security knowledge
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Financial service industry knowledge is a plus
• AWS Sagemaker experience is a plus
• API experience is a plus
• ElasticSearch experience is a plus
