Fluidra is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join the North American team at our Salt Lake City, UT office.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Reporting to the Director, HR Operations, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position requires a talented, driven, experienced HR professional who can work closely with management across all key HR areas as a business partner to assess and anticipate HR-related needs in order to develop creative and proactive solutions.

Based in our Salt Lake City, UT office, this highly visible role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations and providing general HR support including timekeeping, recruiting production level employees, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, employee relations, training, recognition programs, event coordination, values and culture for 250 employees at our Utah site.

The HRBP will be a driven, self-starter demonstrating expertise across all HR functions This position must be able to utilize core skills such as communication, influencing, facilitation, problem resolution and critical thinking to implement HR initiatives and resolve HR concerns.

The HRBP will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business unit and serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. To be successful in this role, the HRBP must work to understand the business and the needs of the business partners and demonstrate a high level of independence and resourcefulness. Additionally, you will:

  • Develop and implement HR practices and objectives that create a high performing, employee-centric culture that emphasizes our cores values and supports our business goals.
  • Provides HR expertise in employee relations, policy guidance & interpretation and compliance.
  • Manages and participates in facilitation/problem resolution on issues related to employee relations, performance management, FMLA/ADA/leaves of absences, and employee discipline; advises both employees and management on employee relations policies, procedures, and documentation; researches, identifies, and analyzes specific employee relations concerns and makes appropriate recommendations to managers.
  • Conducts regular meetings with business unit leaders to review metrics, employee concerns, employee development & performance, terminations/exits and other changes impacting the employees in the department.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions). Assists in the coordination of the company-wide performance review process.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • In partnership with the Americas Talent Acquisition team, develops terms for new hires, promotions and transfers, including the job description and offer letter.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business unit.
  • Effectively creates highly professional written and oral HR communications, PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, public speaking, ER investigations, report writing, and maintain professional interactions with all levels of employees.

  • Ability to complete assignments within specified time frame; must be willing to work, not delegate essential elements of the role
  • Has a passion for process improvement and ways to see and do things differently to best meet the needs of our business and our internal customers
  • Must have experience in handling and resolving complex employee relations issues and investigations
  • Must have experience in handling and resolving FMLA/ADA/Accommodations

WHAT WE SEEK

  • 7 years’ experience as a HR Generalist or other exempt level HR role
  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong project management, presentation and facilitation skills

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (major in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Labor Relations, Business Management or related field)
