FLS Transportation Service Limited is Hiring a Carrier Sales Representative Near Atlanta, GA

FLS Transportation Service is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to join our rapidly growing organization in our Atlanta, GA, office.

Responsibilities :

  • Negotiate with carriers to maximize profitability and improve efficiency by identifying ways to improve cost savings;
  • Schedule/Coordinate truck shipments and address any issues that come up during transit;
  • Audit and correct carrier freight invoices and BOLs as necessary for payment;
  • Dispatch drivers on each load with the responsibility to ensure drivers arrive to pick up without issues;
  • Perform daily sourcing activities, including targeting new carriers, negotiating and developing carrier rates, and sourcing and selecting the most efficient carriers;
  • Develop and maintain effective Carrier relationships with FLS Core Carriers to include proper carrier capability profiling (60-80 calls/day minimum);
  • Maintain carrier database by keeping pricing and contact information current;

Book loads, call carriers daily to ensure pickups and deliveries are completed 
• Review load board and comments to alert carriers of any updates 
• Ensure all assigned loads are moving as expected and/or to customer specifications 
• Confirm with carriers on loads that are booked; email sales op’s teams with any updates 
• Provide carriers with all necessary information and updates 
• Update tracker with carrier notes regarding moving freight 
• Provide spot/standard quotes to the internal sales op’s teams 
• Rapidly resolve issues as they arise within the email inbox 
• Upload Invoices/Pods to begin the audit process 
• Audit Invoice/Pod’s for LTL freight and communicate changes internally by creating open help tickets 
• Verify LTL freight charges and resolve payment discrepancies prior to the final submission of invoices 
• Investigates issues and provides problem resolution 
• Attend training and onsite meetings as needed 
• Train new hires

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in the transportation/logistics industry;
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current and accurately interpret industry trends;
  • A true passion for sales and logistics - must be a self-starter, self-directed and highly motivated;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry systems);
  • Ability to positively influence culture and behavior and work effectively with all levels within the company;
