We are looking for a veterinary technician with surgery/anesthesia experience for a full time position. The individual must have strong communications skills, have the ability to multi task, prioritize, be organized, and detailed oriented. They must also work compassionately and effectively with our clients and other staff members for the benefit of the pets we serve. This position requires the ability to safely and gently handle animals, stand for long periods of time, and safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

• • Medication preparation and administration

  • Blood, fecal, and urine handling and preparation for laboratory testing, either in-house or at our reference laboratory

  • Patient care and nursing

  • Phlebotomy, intravenous catheter place

  • Anesthetic monitoring, assisting in surgery

  • Obtaining radiographs

  • Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas

  • Assisting in the reception area and examination rooms

  • Client contact through telephone, e-mail, and in person

  • Data entry, invoicing, and appointment making
