Job Title: Businees Development Manager
Location: NYC
Schedule: M-Th in office, Friday remote
Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new FLOS business within your assigned geographical region as defined by the Director of contract sales. This includes building lasting relationships with architects, interior and lighting designers, engineers, contractors, and end users. The BDM also manages the relationship with third party vendors (agents) to generate revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
• Understanding of lighting terms, architectural terms, and the ability to read construction drawings and documents preferred.
• Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements.
• BS or BA degree preferred and at least 5 years proven track record in business sales or related markets desired.
• Excellent organization skills, with emphasis on timeliness, priorities, and goal setting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Mac user preferred.
• 40% local travel and salesforce experience preferred.
