Purpose of this position

The purpose of this position is to perform assigned duties in accordance with established procedures to assure that a successful, viable transportation program is maintained at all times.

Position Requirements

Educational

Must possess a high school diploma or GED

Licensure

• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License class C with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record.

Experience

• Must possess and maintain a minimum of three years’ driving experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Calendar

Other

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents and staff based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
• Must be knowledgeable of computers, calculators, system applications and other office equipment.
• Must not pose as a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be of good moral character.
• Must maintain all facility phone numbers, resident lists and directories, etc as directed by the Office Manager.
• Must be well organized and posses the ability to multi-task.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Must possess customer service training and telephone etiquette.

Performance Standards

• Safely transport residents to/from off-site activities and trips. Serve as a tour guide/driver and chaperone for designated outings/trips.
• Provides facility pick up and delivery (FPH and Porter-McGrath) as needed
• Runs business errands as needed for FPH facility.
• Maintain a current list of DNR orders on yellow paper of residents transporting
• Achieve a high level of resident satisfaction.
• Achieve a high level of employee satisfaction
• Achieve a high level of satisfaction with other internal and external customers.
• Promote the Homes’ mission and vision. Help maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the community.
• Aware of and contributes to department, FPH policies and procedures, including appropriate safety precautions and equipment to use when performing tasks.
• Attends and participates in hazardous communication and universal precautions training program as established by CDC and OSHA guidelines, annual training and mandatory meetings.
• Participate in activities that achieve previous year’s development plan.
• Evaluates performance against expectations and adjusts for improvements.
