Description
Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Finance team with day-to-day accounting activities including, Accounts Payable and Claims Billing functions, as well as assisting the Finance team with month-end closing activities and producing company's financial statements.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare journal entries and assist with the preparation of financial statements in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Assist with commission reports.
- Process remote bank deposits.
- Support AP clerk with processing positive pay and printing checks as needed.
- Support internal billing team by processing claims and invoices as needed.
- Support 1099 tax reporting.
- Assist with audits.
- Other duties as required and as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting with full understanding of US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems
- Working knowledge of the accounting processes
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- MS Office (Outlook, Teams, with Advanced Excel)
