Organization Overview: The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization lead by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers had their best season in franchise history in 2022. Off the ice, the business team is seeing growth across all key metrics including ratings, social engagement and a busy 2022 concert schedule. Meanwhile the organization is expanding outside of FLA Live Arena, and are renovating the FTL War Memorial in Downtown Fort Lauderdale to build a new practice facility and concert venue.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Manager of Data Science the role will support all business operations while assisting in the data architecture with the club’s data warehouse provider. This position will scope out and assist in building new integrations while also handling a number of day-to-day automated reports. The ideal candidate for this role will have a robust technical background, advanced analytical skills, a solid understanding of data architecture, and be willing to dig deep into relevant databases to resolve problems, identify key trends, and leverage data to drive towards insights.

Job Functions:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Build timely and compelling dashboards and visualizations for key partners via the department’s toolkit.
• Assist in designing and connecting various data sources to the club’s data warehouse in order to automate processes across business units.
• Work with data warehouse vendor to ensure data timeliness and accuracy while identifying new sources for integration.
• Work closely with third party partners to troubleshoot technical issues and to find opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and produce actionable insights
• Process customer and lead data from the data warehouse and provide support to the sales team leaders with tasks including lead assignment, campaign tracking and monitoring, ongoing campaign activity, and campaign performance reporting and assessment.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of software/database best practices, and make recommendations on improvement of data systems
• Possess solid organization skills and the ability to communicate effectively to internal stakeholders and vendors
• Monitor and support the and management of all customer-related data employing data governance methodologies to ensure cleanliness of fan database and its appropriate use.
• Document various data warehouse sources and workflows.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Should be extremely organized, detail oriented, and results-driven with a focus on quality and consistency
• Craftsmanship and capabilities of working with large databases
• 1 year of statistical analysis, business analytics or database management experience
• Advanced technical skillset including R, Python, SQL
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced professional environment, work under fluid deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office
• Undergrad degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics or other relevant major

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
