Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking Resident Assistants - Boca Raton, FL Degree-seeking undergraduate with a minimum of six credit hours (twelve if international) or graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (nine if international). A minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA for UG students and minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA for graduate students. College work study fall under the exempt, weekly pay rate type. Summary of Responsibilities: The role of the RA (Resident Assistant) is to enable student success through the development of enhanced learning opportunities and enriching educational experiences within a supportive campus and residential environment. Required to live on campus Providing immediate assistance and contacting appropriate authorities or resources when needed Assisting in resolving conflicts between residents, whether they're related to noise, shared responsibilities, or interpersonal issues Promoting an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere within the residential community Addressing policy violations and implementing appropriate consequences when necessary Assisting in emergency drills and educating residents about safety protocols Rotating on-call duty shifts to be available for emergencies and late-night assistance Helping residents during the move-in process by providing information, assistance, and support. Enforcing residence hall policies and rules to maintain a safe and respectful living environment. Conducting regular safety inspections and reporting any maintenance or security concerns. Completing administrative duties like documenting incidents, maintaining records, and managing paperwork related to resident issues. Conducting periodic room inspections to ensure compliance with residence hall policies and cleanliness standards. Participating in ongoing training, workshops, and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the RA role. Serving as a first point of contact for residents in times of crisis or emergencies. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma Salary: $14.25 per hour College or Department: OPS - Residential Life, Safety West Location: Boca Raton Work Days and Hours: Sunday - Saturday 20 hours a week.
