What will you like about the role: Growing company, hungry for structure and process You will manage a growing team of skilled Engineers (mechanical, electrical, reliability and more) engineering teams and related areas (large team of 20 direct and indirect reports) Extremely important and influential role, reporting directly to the General Manager What you will love about the company: Growth/revenue target is double YOY for 2023 (the business is there; we just have to do it right) Anord Mardix is still a nimble, fairly independent business, backed by Flex corporate (20 Billion fortune 500 global manufacturing company) Large company benefits package Anord Mardix’ primary clients are in the Data Center market (very recession resistant) Organization is accustomed to change and ready to drive more efficient processes and lean thinking WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE: Direct and control the activities of broad functional area through several senior Design & Engineering managers involved in activities such as designing, developing, modifying and evaluating integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and systems Partner with other leaders to establish objectives and action plans Ensure the development of Design & Engineering solutions for diversified industry segment covering a wide range of products and volume mixes Ensure budget, schedules and performance indicators meet corporate guidelines Provide technical and strategic guidance to subordinate directors to ensure achievement of goals and objectives Develop and continuously improve people, methods, systems, processes and metrics in a complex and rapidly changing environment to improve customer satisfaction Organize and lead reviews to ensure projects are delivered on time, as per cost targets and within quality specifications Partner with Operations leaders to ensure Engineering & Design activities are well integrated with manufacturing operations including the use of Design for Manufacturability principles. Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING TO ADD TO THE TEAM: Demonstrated ability to build and adapt an effective strategic plan within a growing/changing environment Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, make educated decisions and drive action plans for progress Advanced understanding of power equipment and related engineering (critical power for data centers or similar is a big plus) Experienced with managing a larger team 5 professionals Experience with managing to a budget Able to adapt and grow the team to adjust for an ever-changing market and strategy Proven ability to communicate and nurture cross-functional relationships with all levels in the organization local and global Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline required, Advanced degree preferred (rare exceptions for very targeted and exceptional experience in lieu of the degree could be possible) 8 years of leadership experience in an engineering environment WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE FOR THE GREAT WORK YOU PROVIDE: Full range of medical benefits, dental, vision Life Insurance Matching 401K PTO Tuition Reimbursement #LI-DNP #LI-GavinMcneil GM105 Job Category Design, Process & Technology Engineering Anord Mardix is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
