Fletcher Group Automation is currently seeking an experienced General Manager to join our growing team! We are looking for someone who is driven, and goal-oriented with a passion for business development and relationship building! We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in a multi-tude of various industries but particularly with a heavy focus in automation, robotics, skilled trades or manufacturing. 

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations
• Design strategy and set goals for growth
• Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
• Set policies and processes
• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
• Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Direct the employee assessment process
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

Responsibilities

Fletcher Group Automation is looking for the new General Manager ato ssist first-line managers to achieve their goals and also ensure that all teams within a unit are functioning well. Their specific duties and the scope of work of these professionals vary depending on the company and industry they work in, but may include:

• Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of staff
• Creating and implementing strategies for business growth 
• Hiring new staff within a department or business unit
• Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients
• Working closely with account managers and other senior staff to retain clients
• Developing new solutions to meet client needs
• Improving internal processes for better productivity
• Overseeing large projects and interpreting performance reports
• Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of a location or business unit

Qualifications

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
• Experience in planning and budgeting
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
• Strong analytical ability
• Excellent communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
• Business Development experience is an asset!
