The D.C. office is looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) intern to join our dynamic healthcare practice. Interns experience multiple facets of the PR and communications industry and engage with account staff on a variety of projects, including research and analytics, writing, event coordination and staffing, media relations and creative brainstorming.
NOTE: This internship will be mostly virtual with occasional in-person office work.

Responsibilities of the healthcare public relations intern include media monitoring and pitching, research related to client industries, assistance with event planning, talking points, memos, social media posts, and other written communications content.
Interns must be a college junior or above with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Applicants should have excellent communications and critical thinking skills and be able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in healthcare communications (through previous internships or coursework) is a plus.
FleishmanHillard hires interns for spring, summer and fall semesters that mirror a standard academic calendar. Full-time, paid internships (40 hours per week) are available, but no part-time. Interns are compensated on the same schedule as all other FleishmanHillard employees and receive overtime pay when applicable.
