Position Summary Primary responsibility is to generate and maintain an order pipeline that balances service and inventory levels and work with vendors to ensure timely delivery and address backorders and delivery performance issues. Responsible for handling the analysis and the decision making to translate Blue Yonder JDA recommended orders into orders that meet program requirements (e.g. minimum order value) and are most cost effective for transportation and handling in DCs and branches. Essential Tasks Replenish inventory for assigned vendors through the use of the replenishment programs within the iSeries/AS400 and Blue Yonder JDA. Ensure that ordered products are available and on hand by communicating with vendors and staff members at the various FleetPride and PDC locations. Collaborate with Category Managers and Sourcing Managers to address vendor issues and track and manage the vendor performance through supplier scorecards. Work with commercial teams (National Accounts, PDC, RAMs/AMs/Branches) and Demand Planners to support execution of orders or inventory moves for new or lost business. Ensure orders have been shipped and received and tracking data is updated in the appropriate systems. Work with vendors and internal teams to improve EDI usage and data quality. Maintain assigned vendor lines and work with data and CM/SM teams to correct costs, pack sizes, or other attributes as discrepancies are noted. Contact vendors to determine the status of an order and address discrepancies in quality and quantity of receipts including the CM/SM team as required. Copy data and documents and compile records and reports. Support annual inventory count and cycle counts as needed. Identify process improvement ideas and work with the appropriate teams to operationalize. The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment. Qualifications Education A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a buyer position or related role. Experience in production or stock buying capacity, replenishment buying experience preferred. Previous AS400 inventory database experience preferred. Must have strong E&O and Product Life Cycle Management experience. Strategic level decision making experience as it applies to product management is essential. Computer Skills Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, AS400, Windows components.
