Senior Accountant What We Need FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a/an Senior Accountant within our Corpay division. This position falls under our Corporate line of business and is located in Brentwood. In this role, you will This role is responsible for performing daily general accounting functions to properly state assets, liabilities and record revenue and expenses. You will report directly to Natalya Flint and regularly collaborate with various departments. How We Work As a Senior Accountant you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing: Assigned workspace in the Brentwood office Company-issued equipment Formal, hands-on training Monthly home internet stipend Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include: 1. Preparation of monthly entries, financial records, account analyses and reconcile the general ledger. Prepare or review detailed monthly variance analyses to verify the integrity of monthly financial results. 3. Prepare detailed account reconciliations, manages intercompany account analysis, develop complex models to support journal entries, create ad hoc financial analyses. 4. Assist in maintaining detailed internal control documentation that supports both preparation of original work and review of subordinate work in accordance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the standards established by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. 5. Ensures all accounting policies and procedures are followed. Assists in the implementation of policies, procedures and control enhancements as needed. 6. Assists accounting leadership in training and developing staff accountants and review of staff work. 7. Define and implement continuous improvement of financial and operational processes in order to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of reported financial results. Identify and implement self-audit programs, where applicable, to drive quality and reporting improvements. Qualifications & Skills Qualifications (List minimum work experience, educational background, professional licenses, certifications and skills required to perform the job): Education: Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required. Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate Experience: Minimum: 3-5 years of combined audit and general accounting experience Preferred: Prior accounting experience in public accounting or other fast-paced business environment Licenses, Certifications, Skills: Minimum: Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Preferred: Demonstrated ability to process, manipulate, and analyze data using Microsoft Excel In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Word Combination of education and/or experience will be considered for the requirements listed above.
