Organizational RelationshipReports to Vendor Portal Manager

Job Summary

The Technical Support Specialist will assist the IT team with testing and improving the proprietary vendor portal. This position is also responsible for overseeing email communications with vendors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities• Learn all profiles associated with the vendor portal and process and be knowledgeable of the nuances of each
• Review the build out of each section of the vendor portal and offer suggestions for improvements
• Sit in on development calls to learn about new features being released and give feedback
• Test new features, acting as a specific user
• Work with the users of the portal to understand possible issues
• Build out working templates and documents for specific jobs and parts of the portal
• Write out best practices and SOPs to assist with non-technical users
• Trouble shoot problems that are addressed
• Assist with overseeing the fulfillment of orders via the vendor portal

• Communicate with clients as needed
• Responsible for email communications to vendors regarding job alerts, jobs assigned, portal
support, etc.
• Conduct virtual Vendor Portal training for vendors, Process Managers and others as needed

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo direct reports

Work EnvironmentThis is currently a remote position but will be in office once an office is established (potentially beginning of next year - office will be in the DFW area).

Position Type and Expected Work HoursThis is a full time position. Days and hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F but may be flexible.
Travel RequirementsNo travel required

Required Education and Experience• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with communicating with development teams in a well thought out manner
Preferred Education and Experience• Experience with a marketplace/ridesharing/mapping startup - can work in a fast-paced environment that requires you to wear multiple hats

Required Skills and Qualifications• Strong technical skills and ability to pick up software quickly

• Strong communication skills
