Fixer is Hiring a Customer Success Representative Near Chicago, IL

Are you a self-starter and a constant learner? Happy in a fast-moving, always changing environment?

We're looking for a personable, even-keeled, friendly problem solver who will lead our customers in sorting through their current home repair / maintenance issues, convert those needs into clear tasks for our Fixers and book appointments like it’s magic. Part sales, part operations, part customer service, you’ll be a key member of a team whose only goal is to delight our customers every single time.

The Customer Success Representative will handle communication with our inbound customers across a variety of digital channels (live chat, text, email, direct to site, and through services like Yelp). You will also handle job requests coming from our loyal repeat customers, all while coordinating with our Fixer team to get the jobs done. Fixer is here to deliver exceptional customer experiences in an industry that’s traditionally left customers fraught with anxiety and mistrust. You will be part of growing our exceptional business in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle and beyond.

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with potential and existing customers generated by numerous lead sources, assisting them in scoping their projects, answering questions and booking jobs
  • Track customers and detailed project information in our booking system
  • Communicate with our Fixers in the field as their main point of contact — managing the schedule, and keeping the flow of communication open between Fixers and customers
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Fixers and our customers - making sure all projects go smoothly and our customers are thrilled with our service
  • Meeting customers with empathy if their expectations aren’t exceeded, and making the solution more memorable than the problem

Required Availability

  • Fixer’s Customer Success Representative team is staffed 7 days a week. The earliest shift starts at 6:30am, and the latest shift goes until 8:00pm. We do our best to accommodate shift preferences, but please share any known conflicts in advance.
  • You should expect at least 1 regular weekend shift.
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed. We have a small team who depends on you showing up and pitching in — and they’ll do the same for you!
  • We are still working remotely, though we plan to return to our office in Edgewater (Chicago) if/as/when it makes sense to.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated success in digital/online customer service, account management, or dispatch using both phone and digital channels
  • Excellent written communication skills are required — typing & writing ability will be tested
  • Experience with live chat, text, email — quick, clear instant communication skills in a customer service setting preferred
  • Experience in common home repair projects, or DIY Network addiction, a plus
  • Ability to bring a positive and infectious attitude every day, even in the face of challenges
  • Impeccably-organized self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and see new opportunities to drive customer satisfaction
  • Eager to receive constructive feedback as a means to improve, as well as eager to teach others what you’re learning
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, growth oriented startup environment
  • Call center and/or dispatch experience helpful

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Fixer is requiring full COVID-19 vaccination status for all new employees as of August 5, 2021.
