Fitzemeyer & Tocci is Hiring a Chief Operating Officer Near Portsmouth, NH

Fitzemeyer & Tocci is a full-service MEP/FP engineering and construction management firm with specialized expertise in a diverse range of institution and facility types, including Academic, Healthcare and Science & Technology. We are currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our dynamic team. This is a new and exciting opportunity for a highly visible executive leader. This is a hybrid/flexible remote position based out of our Woburn, MA office. The Chief Operating Officer(COO) maintains and drives operational results within the firm to successfully deliver complex projects for institutional type clients and is driven to provide an exceptional client experience and project performance. This role will bring operational, managerial, and administrative procedures and reporting structures to the firm and is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the firm. The COO is passionate about growth, leadership, mentoring and growing engineering leaders and engineering excellence. This is a full time with bonus position. We are conveniently located in Woburn right off I-93 with plenty of free, covered parking, dining facilities and a free gym. At F&T we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but if your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. What the COO does: -Align staff and leadership with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision. -Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization. -Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective working closely with the Sr. VP of Finance, CEO and other key executive team members. -Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes. -Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. -Works with other executives on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs. -Work closely with senior management team to create, implement and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitably and efficiencies within the company. -Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, banks, investors and all other professional business relationships. -Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines. Qualifications: -10 years’ experience working for a professional consulting firm -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution. -Must have a general understanding of all building MEP/FP and special systems. -Knowledge of Institutional facilities infrastructure requirements. -Knowledge of the principles and practices relating to architectural engineering and construction management. -Proven track record of successfully managing a highly profitable portfolio of clients and projects. -Proven track record of successfully building and managing a multi-discipline engineering team focused on instilling professional project management practices. -Proven track record of executive level commitment and successfully contributing to the strategic planning and growth of an organization.
