FISHER ASSOCIATES is Hiring a Licensed Land Surveyor Near Binghamton, NY

Description

Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C. is headquartered in Rochester NY, with eight offices throughout NY, PA and TX is currently seeking a Project Surveyor for our Survey team in either Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY or Binghamton, NY office to coordinate and direct survey project team members to ensure that projects are completed within budget and schedule on many types of survey projects.

The Project Surveyor reviews projects for compliance with company policies and standards, ensures a smooth interface with other disciplines within the corporation and project team, and provides technical expertise for specialized survey tasks. The Project Surveyor reports to the Department Manager but coordinates regularly with and receives work assignments and QA/QC reviews from other Project Managers.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Supervise survey technicians, field crews, and CADD technicians on the project team.
  • Perform routine and complex survey calculations and control adjustments.
  • Perform, assign, or assist with records research.
  • Perform, assign, or assist with CADD drafting assignments
  • Analyze boundary evidence and parcel/ROW records to determine property boundaries and Rights of Way.
  • Maintaining positive client relationships, understanding project requirements, and facilitating all deliverables to ensure an outstanding customer experience using Clientship Philosophy.
  • Provide QA/QC on survey work completed for all sectors.
  • Must be a team player.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or 5-10 years of experience equivalent.
  • Professional Survey License
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of Land Surveying, including boundary determinations, control adjustments, topographic surveying/mapping, NYSDOT Standards and Procedures, and ALTA requirements.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, verbal, and graphic)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook applications
  • Strong attention to detail, and organization skills
  • Integrity, people skills, team spirit and commitment to providing high quality and timely deliverables.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites and offices.
