Job Title Information Technology Manager Job Purpose What does a successful Information Technology Manager do at Fiserv? The Information Technology Manager manages the daily operations of the Information Technology function in department/division/area. Researches and implements new technologies. Collaborates and coordinates projects with various other departments. Manages, maintains, and supports 3rd party enterprise applications deployed and used by the clients. What you will do: Provides leadership, oversight, administration, and mentorship of assigned staff in one or more of the following areas: business intelligence, systems administration, program management, and help desk Manages and allocates workload and resources; resolves schedule and resource conflicts Responsible for hiring, performance evaluations, mentoring, coaching, and training of staff Executes overall IT strategy for the unit, ensuring customer satisfaction and delivering solutions/services on time and on/under budget Plans, develops, and executes IT projects for the department/division/area Identifies and resolves application-related issues and conflicts within the IT services delivery framework Manages daily IT Operations, providing endpoint device and back-end support on OS’s (mobile and wired Mac and Windows clients), and iOS/Android devices Designs, develops, packages, delivers, and completes life-cycle management of all computer operating system software and system applications Reviews procurement processes/invoices and life cycle of IT equipment Acts as representative for the department/division/area on various committees across campus Maintains relationships with key personnel in sales and stakeholders Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations Researches and implements new technologies Identifies broad level application issues and opportunities Manages IT services or processes What you will need to have: 8 years of current experience leading engineering teams in delivering resilient and high volume technology solutions. Recent experience working with teams delivering with Java/Spring Frameworks, Spring Boot Recent experience in leading teams in cloud technologies Minimum 8 years hands-on leading teams with software development experience building RESTful API's in Java and either SQL or NoSQL databases Experienced in the day-to-day practicalities of Agile/Scrum software delivery methodologies 8 years hands-on software development experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing object-oriented code. Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization. Advanced knowledge of coding techniques contributing to the reliability, maintainability, readability, simplicity, performance, and testability of software A high level of proficiency working with modern CI/CD delivery pipelines A solid understanding of complex IT environments, including networking, databases, security, and performance.
