Job Description: This role is 100% onsite at our Creedmoor, NC facility. Ontic is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented System Administrator to join the IT team. The work is challenging and offers and environment that is filled with great opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all IT systems in a Windows environment. Support will include day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem-solving for end-user computing, systems, services, and infrastructure. The system administrator will configure, manage, and install operating system software while continually maintaining integrity, configuring network components, and implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Key responsibilities: Ensure integrity and security of enterprise data on host systems, following best practices regarding privacy, security, and compliance Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases Perform daily system monitoring of systems, services, and infrastructure to ensure data security, availability, performance, and integrity Collaborate with other IT personnel and key stakeholders to improve existing processes Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco VoIP and network infrastructure Manage and support Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, Office 365, and Microsoft Intune Assist in the ongoing deployment and configuration of end-user hardware, software, and updates via Microsoft Intune Provide technical support, troubleshooting, diagnosis, problem resolution and maintenance Analyze, support, and administer existing Windows-based systems and provide troubleshooting strategies Ensure all hardware is under warranty and maintain warranty records Establish and maintain asset inventory for systems, infrastructure, and applications Establish a refresh cycle for hardware and upgrade cycle for software Must Have Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Minimum four (4) years of hands-on experience administrating enterprise-level systems and infrastructure Experience configuring and troubleshooting network switches and wireless access points Experience establishing and maintaining network, system, application, and service monitoring Experience administering Microsoft Azure AD and Office 365 Knowledge of Epicor ERP software is a plus PowerShell scripting knowledge ITIL Foundations certification Excellent communication and customer service skills Possess ability to both multi-task and manage priorities effectively with the ability to work proactively and independently in meeting stakeholder needs whilst adhering to tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Microsoft and Cisco certifications is a plus Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
