SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sr DevOps Engineer is responsible for application development environment health as well as ensuring the defined SDLC is followed by all. This person manages the deployment process and teaches agile development methodologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Release Management - manage the release process for various web applications and database projects.
• Develop, maintain, and debug build and deployment pipelines for applications and infrastructure. (Example: Azure DevOps, YAML, ARM Templates)
• Tool Administration, customization, analytics, and integration for various 3rd party tools (Examples: JIRA, GitHub, SonarCloud, Azure DevOps).
• Monitor and react to resources and infrastructure usage in Azure.
• Test Automation - Create, maintain, and debug test automation for various web applications.

• Implement testing frameworks in C# and JavaScript applications (Examples: Nunit, Jest)
• Advise teams on DevOps best practices and processes (Examples: test-ability, deploy-ability, GitFlow)
• Onboard development team members into various environments, applications, and environments. (Using SQL and Azure)
• Document new processes and procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Associate’s Degree (Computer Science, Business, Information Systems)
• 5 Years of experience in a DevOps role
• Able to work independently and define DevOps procedures
• Proficient in Git, SQL, C# CI/CD with one or more of the following: Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, TravisCI, etc, Azure

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Design — Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
