The Server should create a dining experience that encourages the guest to return.
In addition, the Server:
- Welcomes guests after they are seated.
- Exhibits professional attitude and presentation per our appearance and dress standards.
- Knows the menu, including ingredients and prices.
- Where appropriate, explains specials, and makes recommendations to guests.
- Takes orders for food, and effectively communicates with Kitchen staff to ensure that food is promptly and properly prepared for guests.
- Performs all table service functions with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Anticipates the needs of guests, i.e., more coffee. Demonstrates “service” attitude with other staff and customers.
- Performs assigned side work relating to the Server position.
- Assists team members as necessary.
- Assists in maintaining the service station during the shift, and busses tables, seats guests, hosts, takes to-go orders, and assists with maintaining FOH cleanliness.
- Rolls silverware as assigned on a daily basis
- Accurately reports tip income on a daily basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The cook positions include Plate, Middle, and Egg and Salad Stations. Specific duties are different for each station. However, generally, staff in these positions prepare food for the guests using recipes meeting our guidelines for food preparation and service.
In addition, Cooks:
- Ensure that all menu items ordered by guests are prepared properly.
- Meet the standard of food delivery within ten minutes of the order.
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation levels and safety of the kitchen.
- Helps keep the kitchen properly stocked, prepared and organized with food at all times.
- Perform end-of-the-day clean-up responsibilities.
- And other duties as assigned.
The Host should greet each guest as he or she enters the restaurant. Similarly, the Host should acknowledge each guest as he or she leaves the restaurant. Greetings should be appropriate and friendly, indicating a positive, upbeat attitude, and displaying a sense of urgency relating to guest satisfaction.
In addition, the Host:
- Works closely with the Bus Team and the Servers to ensure tables are being cleaned and set up efficiently, so guests will not wait any longer than necessary for a clean table.
- Interacts with waiting guests, and while seating guests.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the guests’ waiting area.
- Seats guests evenly throughout the restaurant except in the event of customer request.
- Brings menus, silverware, boosters, chairs, etc. to the table, while seating guests.
- Answers the telephone.
- Takes “to go” orders.
- Operates the cash register.
- Runs the waitlist for guests.
- Makes a conscious effort to foresee any special items a guest may require; assists with accommodation of special guest needs.
- Performs end-of-the-day duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bussers clear and re-set tables at the restaurant per procedures so that guests may be seated quickly.
In addition, Bussers:
- Ensure that the tables, chairs, trash receptacles and floors are kept clean.
- Keep the restrooms clean and well stocked.
- Perform end-of-the-day clean-up responsibilities.
- Assist the dishwasher with closing duties.
- Accurately reports tip income on a daily basis.
- And other duties as assigned.
