First Pres located in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, is a church with a 3,100-member, 5-generation congregation that is growing in the Lord. With an average attendance of 2,000 persons each Sunday, we are hoping this position will catch the attention of an individual who has an eye for data integration and excellent attention to detail. This position is for the individual who is very process oriented and has a great knowledge in technology integration and data base management. The Accounts Payable Clerk provides professional support to the Finance Director primarily in the areas of accounts payable, finance and payroll. This role develops, implements, and maintains systems, policies, procedures, and customer relations related to payables, 1099s and tax related matters, ensuring compliance with current federal and state laws and other related rules, regulations, and guidelines. Ensures adherence to company guidelines, industry standards and best practices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, identifying opportunities for improvement. Assists in maintaining the integrity of the Rock database. Provides administrative support to stewardship, finance, payroll, and other ministries as directed.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Associates degree or similar work experience required.
Experience and Desired Traits:
- 3 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or finance
- Database experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-stakeholder environment with minimal supervision
- Professionally organized with ability to prioritize.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail, thoroughness and organizational skills
- Experience and love for working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with ability to be flexible.
