First Onsite - US is Hiring a Regional Director of Operations Near New York, NY

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Regional Director of Operations role is responsible for the oversight, leadership, and guidance of branch General Managers and Branch operations. A dynamic, hands-on, senior-level leader is directly responsible for overseeing multiple branch operations across a given region or territory. This leader is responsible for the attainment of our service commitments and that the business exceeds budget and growth expectations.

Assure General Managers meet all operational expectations. Responsible for leadership development, reporting metrics, service delivery, and budget attainment. Bring consistency and compliance across the regional branch platform. This position will report to the Regional VP.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

OBJECTIVES:

  • Be part of a team that sets the short and long term strategic objectives for the company
  • Ensure that those strategic objectives are implemented in the region to maximize regional performance
  • Develop annual business plans for the region to ensure alignment with corporate budget and goals
  • Review and report the region financials (P&L) to the Regional VP
  • Work with GM's to adjust strategy as needed to improve regional operational performance
  • Identify and develop future operational leaders
  • Continuously review and monitor critical ongoing project information specific to budgets, timelines, and production to determine if targets and goals are being satisfied
  • Assure branches operate with consistency and ensure compliance to corporate processes and systems
  • Participate in acquisition sourcing and integration
  • Develop and uphold the company's mission, vision, and values
  • Other duties as needed by the company

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Meet with customers to monitor service delivery performance, identifying any deficiencies in the delivery
  • Collaborate and build a Client focused assessment process to track client satisfaction
  • Monitor job margins progress and costs, and communicate plan changes to management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic business partners and key stakeholders

LEADERSHIP

  • Meet with branch leaders to evaluate company performance, understand opportunities to enhance service effectiveness, and to gain insight into trends that may impact the business
  • Develop, coach, and direct the efforts of the general manager, and operations staff to achieve operational performance goals
  • Develop bench strength through succession planning to build a leadership pipeline within the region

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong business development experience, skills, and ideas
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience in operations management
  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written ability to communicate effectively with customers, senior management staff, vendors and staff
  • Effective problem solving, leadership, organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop subordinates
  • Must be able to motivate, inspire and achieve results through others

PREFERENCES:

  • College degree in Business/Construction Management preferred or equivalent in experience
  • Working knowledge of the restoration and construction industry
  • Ability to read all Xactimate scopes
  • Ability to review Time and Material invoices

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 25-50% Travel

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, stooping or standing on a stool as necessary.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • A valid driver license required
