SUMMARY This role assists Commercial Relationship Managers with relationship duties including credit preparation of routine credit displays, including renewals, reviews, and modifications. Acts as a liaison between the banker, approver, and underwriter. Reviews, analyzes and may maintain a small portfolio of loans. Learns how to establish and maintain relationship with clients based on knowledgeable advice that is aligned to the clients’ business objectives and lifecycle. Maintains strong relationships with clients and prospects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned. Conducts, organizes and leads recurring meetings with the Commercial Relationship Managers to review upcoming maturing loans, annual reviews and watchlist reports. Assists lending staff in gathering and evaluating credit information on current and prospective clients. Attends client meetings with Commercial Relationship Managers when they initiate and develop new business through outside business development activities. Develops a comprehensive understanding of the client’s needs based on the review and analysis of personal bank business financial data gathered through relationship reviews and personal meetings. Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Proactively promotes bank products and services and keeps clients informed of all the financial solutions to meet their needs. Maintains follow up on existing loans to ensure compliance with internal procedures and other required terms. Acts as a resource for officers on loan policy and compliance issues. Maintains compliance with all bank regulations for assigned position and applies to designated job responsibilities. Provides support with routine watchlist report preparation. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and four years of experience in a similar position or equivalent combination of education and experience; strong credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills, including accounting, financial statement, and cash flow analysis experience; knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation. OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Proven ability to balance multiple priorities. A strong client focus capable of balancing credit quality standards with client relations. Proven excellent time management and organizational skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
