Job Description

We’re looking for a curious, adaptable data analyst to join our growing team of analysts and scientists at the centre of First, supporting both internal and external customers to make better decisions, faster. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, processing data, supporting process optimisation, and building actionable insights through reports and visualizations across First’s dynamic service lines.

Responsibilities

• You will play an integral part in supporting our internal mission to bring together all data from our key applications to help us genuinely become a data driven organization, while also supporting and improving contracted client management reporting, working directly with a variety of stakeholders to critically evaluate requirements and build intuitive, robust usable reports.
• Working in a multi-disciplinary commercial / data / engineering team, you will:
• Work closely with our data scientist to support the creation of data products
• Work closely with our solutions and client services teams to help unpick and manage data requirements
• Investigate and effectively work with colleagues from other disciplines to address and improve data quality and better utilize existing applications
• Integrate new data sources
• Document requirements for data sources and report designs
• Design, build and launch new reports
• Support communication and training for new reports
• We rely on the following tools and tech that would be advantageous but not essential for you to have experience in:
  • Tableau desktop for our visualizations and reporting
  • Tableau server for our analytics infrastructure
  • AWS for most of our backend infrastructure
  • Python for most of our data science

Qualifications

• You have some SQL skills and are familiar with general data warehousing concepts
• You are comfortable communicating patiently with nontechnical stakeholders with ambiguous requirements
• You are comfortable exploring potentially ambiguous business problems and enjoy finding technical solutions to them
• You have some experience managing robust and reliable data sets
• You’re keen to learn more about new technologies and their application in brand experience and events
• You strive for improvement, proactively identifying issues and opportunities and getting them prioritized 
• Very nice to haves: 
• You have multiple years of analytics experience, preferably in an agency focusing on internal management reporting, event measurement, capacity and resource planning, audience profiling, marketing measurement.

United States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
