First City Credit Union is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Altadena, CA
- Assists in performing month-end closing of books, preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and management reports.
- Completes all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly investment accounting functions including the posting of all investment purchases and maturities and ensures that proper documentation is maintained in investment files.
- Updates the loan analytics tool (nCino) on a monthly basis and ensures that the model is reconciled and up to date. Runs reports, balance and record ACL schedule.
- Assists with third party vendor for ALM and ProfitStar analysis by reconciling and submitting monthly files.
- Prepares and assists in the preparation of regulatory agency and governmental reports, including the call report, Federal Reserve FR 2900 Report, and the Business Property Tax Return and supporting worksheets.
- Equivalent to a BA or BS degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, accounting, etc.) preferred
- Five to eight years of similar or related experience
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office application skills specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills employing courtesy, tact and diplomacy when dealing with credit union staff and outside vendors, auditors, etc.
